SKN SSL Enforcer: Securely Browse the Web with HTTPS
SKN SSL Enforcer is a free Chrome add-on developed by Slacknet that allows users to browse the web securely on websites that support HTTPS. It does not rely on proxy servers or similar methods to establish HTTPS tunnels, but instead relies solely on the website's support of HTTPS and the defined ruleset.
With SKN SSL Enforcer, web requests made by your browser that match the ruleset will be intercepted and rewritten using HTTPS before the browser opens a network connection. This ensures that all data, including headers and content, is encrypted in transit.
It is important to note that not all websites support HTTPS, so it is crucial to ensure that a website supports HTTPS before adding it to the ruleset. SKN SSL Enforcer will not check if HTTPS is available before redirecting the request, which may result in some websites failing to load if they match a rule but do not support secure browsing over HTTPS.
SKN SSL Enforcer is constantly being improved, but users may encounter issues such as website loading problems or browser performance degradation. In such cases, users are encouraged to submit as much information as possible to the developer via the GitHub repository.
For any questions, comments, or feature requests, users can also submit a new issue via the GitHub repository. Contributors are welcomed to fork the code and submit improvements or bugfixes.
